As your parish commissioner, I will endeavor to serve as a member of the parish governing body, which is responsible for enacting ordinances, setting policy, and establishing programs for the parish. 

 

As your parish commissioner, I will represent our district and contribute to the legislative function of the parish government.

 

As your parish commissioner, I will rely on all of you to help us shape a plan that addresses our needs.   

 

As your commissioner, you will have a seat at the table affording your position on any legislation that could potentially impact us in District 5.  

 

My promise to us all of  DISTRICT 5 is simple.  I will work to the best of my ability to serve us all! 

 

Together, we can make District 5 the best it can be. 

 

It's time for leadership that knows that all voices matter, and we together will make our district, our home, the best she can be.

 

Putting this post together, I reflect, Habakkuk 2:2-3, instruction to the prophet.  Though no divine intervention, the principle is, "Write down the vision God reveals, making it clear so that it can be easily understood and shared."  In other words, no surprises, we have the map.
